Alpharetta
If you’re looking for the ultimate suburban Atlanta lifestyle, you’ve found it here! Located just 26 miles north of downtown Atlanta, the vibrant community of Alpharetta offers fantastic shopping and dining experiences, renowned schools, natural beauty, business opportunities and access to hundreds of things to do — not to mention some of the finest real estate available anywhere in the region.
Alpharetta’s origins hail back to the early 1830s when pioneers set up a trading post along a former Cherokee trail. The town was officially chartered and named Alpharetta in 1858, deriving its name from a fictional native American girl in the song “The Blue Juniata.” Since the early 1980s, the city has seen a tremendous surge of growth as a hub for commerce and technology, mushrooming from a small town of 3,000 to the flourishing city it is today — 65,000 and counting. These days, Alpharetta enjoys a reputation as an affluent suburban community with one of the hottest real estate markets in the metro area.
With the gorgeous North Georgia Mountains and Atlanta’s best attractions all in easy driving distance, it’s little wonder that this city continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Welcome to Alpharetta, Georgia.
