Cumming
Nestled along the scenic banks of Lake Sidney Lanier, the town of Cumming offers its residents a wonderful blend of small-town charm, resort-like attractions and suburban convenience. Located just 40 miles north of downtown Atlanta along GA-400, this city of 5400 people serves as a gateway to thousands of acres of natural beauty and outdoor recreation opportunity, from the 59-square-mile area of the lake itself to the winding miles of hiking trails of the Sawnee Mountain Preserve.
Cumming is experiencing a fresh surge of growth both as a suburban city and tourist destination. To this day, Cumming retains its country charm as the only incorporated city in Forsyth County, serving as a regional hub for the county’s 100,000 residents.
Enjoy a round of golf at one of the area’s premier golf clubs. Fish, water ski or just explore hundreds of miles of Lake Lanier coastline. Spend a day of water fun at Margaritaville. Take in the aerial views in a hot air balloon. Dine at world-class resorts. At the end of the day, come home to your own private paradise. And perhaps the best part — all of this opportunity sits within commuting distance of all the shopping, dining and job opportunities of Atlanta. Welcome to Cumming.
